About Dr Gray

Paul, a University of Queensland graduate, has specialist qualifications in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia.

He has over 17 years experience in Pain Medicine in roles that have included staff specialist at the Professor Tess Cramond Multidisciplinary Pain Centre, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Deputy Director of Anaesthesia, Princess Alexandra Hospital.   More recently, he has been appointed Director of the Professor Tess Cramond Multidisciplinary Pain Centre.

Paul has an interest in medical research and completed a PhD in the challenging area of pain after severe burn injury. The thesis focussed on the mechanism and treatment of neuropathic pain (nerve pain) following burn injury. 

Paul is an examiner for the Fellowship in Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and has an ongoing interest in education and training.
